Headin' Out West - Day One

(kirk)

Started off by waking up at 6am. We said our good byes and decided to get breakfast at Big Boy. Sitting at a restaurant at 7am and thinking about how you’re about to drive 18 hours straight across the country is a really bizarre feeling. The anxiety alone of “plan for the worst and hope for the best” is enough to make you want to rip the hair out of the head. Maybe I’m being a little over dramatic but to me it feels so surreal to just up and drive away, I dunno…

Once again we're on the road. We have 266 miles until we hit Des Moines, Iowa. Im feelin a little drawgy from driving for the last 6 hours. But, my cigarettes, energy drinks & camera are keepin me wide awake. Its funny to watch all the different types of people drive by. I've noticed the gas prices just keep going down the farther we drive the last place we stoped was in a little shit town in the middle of Indiana. I think it was $2.85 a gallon wich still isn't good but is better than $3.15. Also, cigarettes are way cheaper, Kirk just bought two packs for five bucks but, anyway Im going to try to snap some more photos and catch up on some rest. Stay tuned to see how the day in Denver goes.

Apologies for a mildly weak update, but we drove from MI to Kearney Nebraska in one day on three hours of sleep each. We're all hopped up on energy supplements, and updating in the parking lot of some random ass hotel with free wi-fi. So bare with us, the best is yet to come...
